Blogsy – Why WordPress.org Couldn’t Do This

You’d think that the more resources, money, and people one has to throw at a problem, the better the solution would be, but that’s just not always true. Because once a group, organization or other business gets too big, things start being done by committee. The maxim of trying to make everyone happy ultimately makes no one happy, at least almost no one. Just look at Microsoft Windows for a perfect example of what I mean.
The iPad is great for so much, and though I knew I would own one the day they were revealed, I never thought it would become such an Indispensable part of my tech arsenal. There are a few apps for working on websites with an iPad, but until Blogsy, it was either a pain in the a** or a huge waste of time compared to using a Mac or PC.
Blogsy is one of those apps you’ll buy and love like GarageBand for iPad, a best in class app, with a price that, after you use it for a bit, makes you want to buy the gang over at Fomota a round of Jamba juices for making such a great tool, and not reaming you on the price.
A Full Featured Web Publishing App
I won’t try to make the case that Blogsy would ever be my main site publishing tool, I’ll take my Core i7 17″ MacBook Pro or my Hac Pro tower for power publishing sessions any day. Using the iPad for quick posts however, and even ones with images, links to Youtube videos, Flickr galleries, Picasa and much much more, has now become something that’s absolutely acceptable.
I promised the gang at Fomota I would hold off on a review of Blogsy until they released a new version that is supposed to “blow me away” with new features, so this is just a taste. Check back for more real soon.
